  • While it's been no secret that the Yamaha Rhino has fostered scores of deaths long-existing problems with the Yamaha Rhino—which serves as the focal Existing Rhino , and model units will be repaired and.

I have a Grizzly and am very pleased with it but it is the coldest Ours is last year of and have had no problems with it - it is about 40 . when I needed to and a bit of common sense about driving goes a long ways.

Hey guys, a motor that blew up is currently being rebuilt but I've hit a roadblock. It seems the ring that is mounted on the crank for the.

Will not idle wit or without choke. Mine was simply a matter of not having enough coolant IN the rad reservoir was full He really knows his stuff. LOL Maybe you should put new tires on your atv. The clamp on filters will seal adequately around the billet adapter because you can tighten them down appropriately, and don't have to rely on the airbox lid holding it loosely in place.

Was Yamaha Shamed Into Finally Fixing the Rhino?

You are logged in as a guest. Forums Classifieds 2 Skins Language. Yamaha Rhino 's, any years to stay away from? Message format Flat Threaded Nested. Looking at a and up Rhino's right now for the farm. Are there any years to stay away from? What is the top speed? We've narrowed it down to either a Rhino or Ranger. I see positives and negatives with both. I would second the efi post.

I have a Grizzly and am very pleased with it but it is the coldest natured machine I have ever had. Again I really like the but if I had it to do over I would have waited and gotten the fuel injected one. My impression that when you get into the larger cc engines they are much better if they are fuel injected regardless of brand. Which year was it they had trouble with the damn things heating and it would die and leave an operator walking to get to his pickup?

It would only happen when sitting at an idle like when spraying muskthistle. If you were going down the road you were ok but sitting in one spot the fan couldn't push enough air through the rad.

Seems like 05 to 07 this was an issue but I am having trouble remembering. Our Rhino serves us well on the farm but it is cold natured.

My step son likes his and he has really used it on the trails. My bil used his like a golf cart. It was like new when he sold it. No problems, he just likes to sell off stuff. Top speed on mine is 50 with an aftermarket CDI. It's almost as fast with the factory parts but I hate to hear the limiter miss when I put my foot in it. It feels pretty stable at 50 in the corn field. You're gonna knock the crank out of it. I have had both and would rather have the Ranger on my farm.

I had the first year Rhino and when we parted ways I said I would never own another Yamaha again. Ours is last year of and have had no problems with it - it is about 40 top speed but that is fast enough as far as I am concerned - bought the Rhino because it would go in back of pickup but found that we hardly ever load it anyway so I would probably go for a wider machine next time. It's been about 6 years now. Local dealer has had several break when a cdi box was added.

The rhino forum has mentioned it too. I'm like the previous poster, 40 mph is fast enough to hurt if you hit something. So whats the excuse doing more then 40 in a pickup or car?

For some reason a glass in front of your face to hit makes it better? Well for one thing, my pickup has real tires on it, not inner tubes with tread on them for tires.

Go ahead drive 90 on your at. LOL Maybe you should put new tires on your atv. I thought we were talking about UTV's though Since you seem to be such a scholar If so, would you be so kind as to explain why my Honda from the factory will do 63 mph and is not a safety hazard? Drive in the ditch Gramma but stay out of the peoples way that dont wear tin foil hats.
